Becky Wixon is a 17 year old Singer-songwriter based in High Wycombe, UK. She has been writing songs ever since she picked up a guitar at the age of 8, and has never looked back. Beginning performing in rock bands with school friends, Becky has progressed into an established artist with two studio album releases, being completely self-taught. The first of these releases 'Parallel Universe' was recorded aged just 14, and her recent EP recorded aged 16; both were released by Becky herself and are avalible on sites such as iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. Becky Wixon is a very passionate musician, and sees her work as a means of expressing emotion: 'All of my songs come from the heart. One of the best moments I have experienced is when I had a crowd of friends singing my lyrics back to me at a gig. It was such a great feeling to know that people could relate to the songs, or just that they listened to them!'. Becky is a multi-instrumentalist, playing various instruments on her recordings including the ukelele, piano, harmonica and xylophone just to name a few. 'People find it suprising when I tell them the list of genres I've written songs in, but its my little musical secret. Though all the songs I release are generic Acoustic-Pop my home recordings range from Grime to Bhangra'. Currently she is in full time education, working part-time as a guitar tutor and occasoinally promoting live events, but plans to take a gap year next year to concentrate on music, perhaps touring, writing and recording.
